Health Watch: 5 Belly Bloaters to Avoid

Girls are more concerned to their tummy and they became more conscious about it during menstrual period. Here are some tips to avoid that bloated look and feel. Stay away from these belly-bloaters:

1. Salt
Avoid too much salty foods to minimize weight gain. Because sodium attracts water than anything else, too much of it on your body will make you appear puffy.

2. Gassy Food
These will make you appear bloated. To name a few, we have broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, onions and peppers. Citrus fruits also store more gas in your intestine so spare your body from this burden.

3. Fried Food
Ever felt bloated after eating a large serving of French fries? Obviously, it’s the bad fat. They are digested more slowly compared to healthy food.

4. Soda
If there are gassy food, the same thing goes with drinks. Stay away from soda because the bubbles will just end up in your belly. So much for carbonated drinks!

5. Chewing Gum
You thought you’re exercising your jaw but at the same time, you are swallowing air as you chew gum for a longer period of time. Hence, the bloated feeling.
